(Ward Meeting Prayers)

ALL: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen


The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary.
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to your word.
Hail Mary . . .

And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary . . .

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, your Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may be brought by His Passion and Cross to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

LEADER: Glory to God in the highest.

ALL: Amen.

LEADER: Peace and hope to people on earth, always and forever.

ALL: Amen.

LEADER: Our Father in heaven

ALL: Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth / as it is in heaven. Give us this day the bread we need / and forgive us our debts and sins / as we have forgiven those who offended us. Do not let us fall into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For, Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Angels and people sing out Your Glory; Holy, holy, holy are You.

SER: Let us pray. Peace be with us.

LEADER: Lord, our God! We praise you and worship you and thank you for all the favors you have done for us. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Lord of all forever.

ALL: Amen.

PSLAM 1 (Recite the following in two batches).

Happy those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked,
Nor go the way of sinners,
Nor sit in company with scoffers.

Rather, the law of the LORD is their joy;
God’s law, they study day and night.

They are like a tree planted near streams of water,
That yields its fruit in season.

Its leaves never wither;
Whatever they do prospers.

But not the wicked!
They are like chaff driven by the wind.

Therefore the wicked will not survive judgment,
Nor will sinners in the assembly of the just.

The LORD watches over the way of the just,

O LORD, our Lord,
How awesome is your name through all the earth!
You have set your majesty above the heavens!

Out of the mouths of babes and infants
You have drawn a defense against your foes,

When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers,
The moon and stars that you set in place.

What are humans that you are mindful of them,
Mere mortals that you care for them?

Yet you have made them little less than a god,
Crowned them with glory and honor.

You have given them rule over the works of your hands,
Put all things at their feet:

All sheep and oxen, even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatever swims the paths of the seas.


The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.
In green pastures you let me graze;
To safe waters you lead me;

You restore my strength.
You guide me along the right path
For the sake of your name.

Even when I walk through a dark valley,
I fear no harm for you are at my side;
Your rod and staff give me courage.

You set a table before me as my enemies watch;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Only goodness and love will pursue me
all the days of my life;
I will dwell in the house of the LORD for years to come.


I wait for you, O LORD; I lift up my soul to my God.

In you I trust; do not let me be disgraced;
Do not let my enemies gloat over me.

No one is disgraced who waits for you,
But only those who lightly break faith.

Make known to me your ways, LORD;
teach me your paths.

Guide me in your truth and teach me,
For you are God my savior.

For you I wait all the long day,
Because of your goodness, LORD.

Remember your compassion and love,
O LORD; for they are ages old.

Remember no more the sins of my youth;
Remember me only in light of your love.

Good and upright is the LORD,
Who shows sinners the way,

Guides the humble rightly,

All the paths of the LORD are faithful love
Toward those who honor the covenant demands.

For the sake of your name, LORD,
Pardon my guilt, though it is great.

Who are those who fear the LORD?
God shows them the way to choose.

They live well and prosper,
And their descendants inherit the land.

The counsel of the LORD belongs to the faithful;
The covenant instructs them.

My eyes are ever upon the LORD,
Who frees my feet from the snare.

Look upon me, have pity on me,
For I am alone and afflicted.

Relieve the troubles of my heart;
Bring me out of my distress.

Put an end to my affliction and suffering;
Take away all my sins.

See how many are my enemies,
See how fiercely they hate me.

Preserve my life and rescue me;
Do not let me be disgraced,
For I trust in you.

Let honesty and virtue preserve me;
I wait for you, O LORD.

LEADER: Lord our God, mercifully hear these prayers of us sinners, and accept it as our evening prayer. We offer you our soul and body. Bless us by forgiving our sins. Lead us ever through everlasting light. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Lord of all forever.

ALL: Amen.

09: Promote understanding and unity / among the various Churches / and strengthen them in the only true faith. We pray to the Lord.

10: Lord, respecting the law and the prophets, You have completed all the precepts. Give us the courage to see You in our superiors / and to obey their orders, we pray to the Lord.

11: Help us minister to You all our lives / with the zeal of Elijah / and the bravery of Moses, we pray to the Lord.

12: Lord, You transfigured Yourself at the Mount of Tabor / and counseled Your disciples who got scared. Make us worthy to receive You with joy / when You appear in glory / on the day of the last judgment, we pray to the Lord.

13: Lord, teach our political leaders / to give up violence / and lead the world in love and tolerance / in the way of peace, we pray to the Lord.

14: Lord our hope and resurrection, make us worthy to line up on Your right side / on the day You appear in glory / in the skies with the sign of the cross, we pray:

15: That all our brethren who passed away / in the hope of resurrection / may be made worthy to take part / in the glory of Jesus Christ’s resurrection, we pray:

16: That our brethren / who were nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ / and who embraced the eternal sleep of death / may be given eternal life, we pray:

17: That we may be given the grace / to rise at the last judgment day / with a radiance excelling that of the sun, we pray:

Prayer for the Deceased

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let the perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of the God rest in peace.

The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day, He rose again. He ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

On the large bead before each decade:
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

On the ten small beads of each decade, say:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
Have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Conclude with:
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (Say 3 Times).
