September 19 – Fifteenth Anniversary of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Church Chicago.

Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Forane Parish of Chicago is the first Church of the Knanaya Catholics in diaspora. The community bought St. James church from the Archdiocese of Chicago and started using it on September 1, 2006. Vicar General Fr. Abraham Mutholath inaugurated the church on September 3, 2006.

Bishop of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago Mar Jacob Angadiath elevated the Knanaya Catholic Mission as Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish on September 24, 2006. He appointed the Mission Director Rev. Fr. Abraham Mutholath as pastor of the parish.

The Knanayology Foundation (Knanaya Global Foundation NFP), a non-profit organization registered in IL, USA, hosts Knanayology and undertakes other projects on Knanaya Community .
