198 If need be, the Superior General in consultation with her
Council and with the approval of the Archeparch may transfer
or suspend a local superior or remove her from office. Except
for serious reasons a local superior shall not be removed
from her office before the expiry of the legitimate term of
her office. 30
Local Council
199 The local council comprises two councillors. They assist the
local superior in the administration of the house by giving
her advice as per law and by co-operating with her.
Local Synaxis
200 All the finally professed sisters are the members of the local
synaxis. This is an important means of collectively seeking
the will of God in unity and exercising the communityís
apostolic mission co-operatively. The local synaxis decides
through open deliberations and dialogue the common and
important affairs of the community. It is in the local synaxis
that such things of the community which are to be decided
by common voting as per our law and the petitions to be
submitted etc. are carried out.
201 In religious life, government and the use of authority are, in
all its spheres, God-given ways and arrangement offered us
through the Church in view of our serving God and His
People. It is when all the Superiors of all levels act with
mutual love and co-operation and the members of the
communities co-operate with them with faith and a spirit of
unity that authority and administration become a means and
power for the community to get united with God, with each
other and with the People of God in a serving spirit.
Administration of Temporalities
202 The temporal goods are resources which God has entrusted
us so that we, living in the SJC religious community, may
