Sick Sisters
77 The presence of elderly sisters are a precious blessing on
our community. Their prayers, suffering and wealth of
32
experience are a great source of grace and guidance to the
community. The community, while always remembering with
great esteem and gratitude their personality and past services,
should show great interest in meeting their spiritual, mental
and physical needs .33
Heavenly Community
78 Our deceased members are a part of our communion. We
should take interest and care to help them through our prayers
and penances as well as to familiarize their history and
34
contributions to the younger generation. The suffrages as
prescribed for them in our Directory, should be fulfilled.
Religious Testimony through Community Life
79 When we live together in mutual love and service, we fulfil
the great desire of the heart of Jesus that his disciples should
37
36
be one in him and his Father. Only in a community that dwells
in love and unity there will be the presence of Jesus. It is
through our mutual love that others are to be convinced that
we are his disciples. Such a community will ever remain on
38
earth as an instrument of divine praise and glory as well as a
39
powerful means of sharing his merciful love with others. 40
