81 To the measure in which we appropriate and realize the
apostolic vision of our Founding Father, we shall be able to
show forth, through the SJC Congregation, ìChrist with
ever-increasing clarity to believers and unbelievers alike-
Christ in contemplation on the mountain, or proclaiming the
kingdom of God to the multitudes, or healing the sick and
maimed and converting sinners to a good life, or blessing
children and doing good to allî .
                                                8
82 As the apostles of Godís merciful love, the following virtues
should have pride of place in our members: love, readiness
for sacrifice, service-mindedness, pleasantness of mind,
sense of responsibility, submission to community. Each one
should acquire the facility as well as ability to combine prayer
life with her life of consecration and apostolate so as to
practise them in such a way that one is nurtured by the other.
We should have the meditative and illumined vision to
discern the profit in courting loss for the sake of Jesus and
                  his Gospel. 9

83 Superiors should be earnest in forming action plans suited to
the needs of the time and place where we are and work,
safeguarding, of course, the charism of our Religious
Institute. The success of our apostolic endeavours, to be
undertaken in submission to the directives of the Church
and Ecclesiastical Superiors and in accordance with the
policies adopted by the concerned General Administrative
Units such as the General Synaxis, General Council etc.,
entails the effective leadership of the superiors as well as
the whole-hearted co-operation of the members. Superiors
have to plan things with far-sightedness, so that the members
can receive proper training and needed capability for
effectively discharging their apostolic obligations. We have
to work, co-operating with other Religious Institutes and
Godís people of the place, Christian and non-Christian, which
