catechesis of children and youth. In our first Rule Book he
has specified the following as one of the goals of the Institute.
ìIn the Instituteís present branch house at Kurumulloor, and
in case there be further branch houses at other places in the
course of time, the children attached to each institute should
be given instruction on spiritual and temporal mattersî .
                                                                      35
We should participate and involve ourselves earnestly in the
activities of the parish, co-operating with the Eparch and
                  Vicar of the parish.
                 Missionary Activities

90 We can see the true picture and story of a real missionary 36
in the person of our Founding Father, who made extensive
travels inside and outside the country with a view to founding
a religious institute for the apostolate of divine mercy and
love. In compliance with the injunction of our Lord ìto go
into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole
                            37
creation,î our sisters should be happy and ready to go for
apostolic services into all parts of the world, in accordance
                                                           38
with the directives of the Superiors, ecclesiastical and
religious, so as to work for the glory of God and the
dispensation of His merciful love to people. 39

91 Religious are people specially called and commissioned in
the Church, which by its very nature is missionary, so that
they may bear witness to the Gospel and engage themselves
in the spread of it. As members of the Community of St.
Joseph, we are to make ourselves channels of Godís praise
and glory by living pure and holy. Together with that, by
communicating the redeeming love of Lordís mercy to the
orphaned and supportless, we bear witness to Jesus, who
was born and lived to proclaim good news to the poor, and
                                                                     41
reveal and confess him before the peoples. ìYou received
