CHAPTER IV
COMMUNITY LIFE
ìI in them and you in meóso that they may be brought
to complete unity.î (Jn. 17:23)
A Community of Mutual Love and Service
66 The St. Josephís Religious Congregation should be a
1
communion of members consecrated and blemishless before
God and living in mutual love and service, so that God the
Father may be pleased to shower upon it, through His Son,
His merciful love, the special gift of His Spirit. By this we
are already here on earth made instruments of Godís praise
2
and glory , and are made specially capable of communicating
that love and mercy, which we ourselves experience and
share in our own community, to others in the world,
especially to those who are orphaned and abandoned among
them. This was, indeed, the religious vision, special desire
3
and goal our holy Founder had in mind while instituting the
St. Josephís Congregation: namely, that his daughters should
possess the joy and fulfillment of living united with God,
4
with each other, and with the poor of the Lord, in love and
service.
The Forefold Foundation of Our Community Life 5
67 The most Holy Trinity, the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the
Early Christian Community, the Holy Family of Nazareth -
these are the forefold foundational model and criterion of
our community life.
