Devotion to the Mother of God

63 The Blessed Virgin Mary, who, as filled with grace, lived by
glorifying the Lord and offering herself to the poor and the
abandoned as Godís good news, stands as the Mother and

Model of the SJC par excellence. Unconditional obedience
to Godís will, the determination exhibited in fulfilling the

word or the will of God she had listened, a servant-like life

spent in the service of God and humankind, the participation
37
in the sacrifice which Jesus offered on Calvary for the glory
of God and redemption of humanity, a life of prayer in the

Church and with the Church - these are the important
spiritual dimensions to get confirmed in each SJC sister
through her devotion to Mary. 40
Devotion to St. Joseph
64 Devotion to St. Joseph is a special spiritual treasure which
our Founding Father has entrusted to us. We are to

comprehensively understand and practise the spirituality of
our Holy Father, who is the patron, model and protector of
the SJC. This will imbue us all the more with the light,
inspiration and strength needed for sustaining the SJC on
earth as a living fountain or stream of Godís glory and the
transmission of His mercy.

Private Devotions
65 Private devotions can help us towards fostering our spiritual
life. However, care has to be taken that they are in conformity
with the spirit of Liturgy and the traditions of our Knananite
Community.
