ix. to discuss such administrative matters as the erection,
division, suppression, re-organization of province, vice-
province, region etc. and to give appropriate suggestions
regarding them.

The Convocation of the General Synaxis
142 With the permission of Archeparch the General Synaxis is
convoked once in three years.
143 The Superior General may, with the consent of her Council
and for valid reasons, advance or defer the date of the General
Synaxis, but not by more than three months. The duration of
the ordinary General Synaxis is from three to six months.
144 In the event of the death or resignation or dismissal of the
Superior General, an extraordinary General Synaxis is
convoked for electing the new Superior General.
145 The Superior General with the consent of her Council
convokes an extraordinary General Synaxis for some very
important or urgent affair affecting the Congregation which
requires immediate discussion and decision. Similarly, if the
previous General Synaxis has decided that an extraordinary
General Synaxis should be convoked for deciding some very
important affair, the Superior General does accordingly
convoke an extraordinary General Synaxis. The duration of
the extraordinary General Synaxis mentioned in No. 144 shall
be three months.
The members of the General Synaxis
146 The General Synaxis comprises the ex-officio members and
the members legitimately elected.
