                       Message of the Superior General

            Dear Sisters,

Religious call, in its essence, is a call to the discipleship of
Jesus. Religious are to consider and esteem their call to deny
themselves, take up daily their cross and follow Jesusí (LK.9:23)
as an all-surpassing blessing and gift given them on this earth. At
the same time it is an invaluable treasure God has entrusted them
with an added obligation to return it to Jesus and the People of

blessing, gift and spiritual wealth. Our saintly Father, who lived
with a heroic love of God and His people, committed to us, his
spiritual daughters, the yoga of divine glory and the dasyam of
His merciful love, as the charism and goal of the Community of
St. Joseph. Our religious charism endows us with the inspiration
and power to live in consecration and as a fraternity of love, by
combining love of God, which in the first place is to be fostered
through prayer, and love of His people, which is above all to be
proved by our determination to serve the orphaned, so as thereby
to fulfil the Gospel law of love (Lk.10:27). It is through our religious
