Kottayam, reflect all through the charism of the Founding Father.
Let all your members be inspired by the charism of the Founder
which exhorts them to live giving God continual praise and glory
in words and deeds and to be the apostles of His merciful love. On
this occasion I do gratefully acknowledge the selfless services the
SJC community render, from its very inception onwards, to the
orphaned and supportless in the Diocese of Kottayam. Besides,
you are offering very valuable contribution in the pastoral,
educational and social fields of the diocese. May I bring to your
attention that your activities made in view of the redemption of
humanity will bear hundredfold fruit, only when they are carried
out in mutual unity of the members and in communion with the
Church.
Whereas you have renewed your Constitution in such a way
that thereby your members will be enabled without fail to live, in
accordance with the needs of the times and the vision of your
Founding Father, such religious values as personal consecration,
which is the very basis of religious life, vowed following of Jesus,
prayer life centred on giving glory to God, services of merciful
love, rendered in the sisterly bond of your community, to those
who are the least in the society, and whereas your General Synaxis
has unanimously passed this Constitution, I approve it, subject to
the Laws of the Church regarding religious life in common and
the diocesan religious Congregations in particular. This
Constitution will come into force from 3 July 2008 onwards.
May this Constitution which you have prepared, taking the
spirituality of St. Joseph, the Patron of your Community, for your
model and keeping in mind the spirit of your Founding Father and
the first Members of your Congregation, help you more and more
towards living for Godís Glory, bringing about the experience of
