and to serve as an apostle of merciful love, invoking the
                  intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and all
                  the saints, in the presence of my Superior General/her
                  delegate, do vow for one year/till the end of my life/chastity,
                  poverty and obedience according to the Constitutions of the
                  Congregation of St. Joseph, founded in the Archeparchy of
                  Kottayam. May the Holy Scripture be a witness to my
                  profession of vows. Amen.
            120 By her temporary profession a novice is incorporated into
                  our religious Institute with the rights and duties as specified
                  in our Constitutions.
            121 Together with the First Profession at the completion of the
                  novitiate, a novice is vested with our religious dress.

                 Profession : Temporary and Final
                 ß1 At the expiration of the term of the first profession (one
                  year), the temporarily professed sister renews her profession
                  canonically for one more year. Thus, at the expiration of the
                  term  of  each  profession  she  renews  canonically  her
                  profession five times for one year. At the end of the fifth
                  year final profession is made.

                 ß2 On absolutely necessary occasions, for a legitimate and
                  sufficient reason, a sister who has completed three years after her
                  first profession may be permitted by the Superior General with
                  the consent of her Council to make her final profession. The
                  duration of the temporary profession shall not exceed six years. 33
            123 At the expiration of the term of the temporary vows a sister
                  may be permitted or denied permission on grave reasons to
                  make her further profession.
            124 When a sister has made her final profession, the matter has
                  to be notified in writing, as early as possible, to the Major
                  Archbishop and to the Vicar of the parish where her baptism
                  has been recorded. 34
