Kizhakke (eastern) varikattu is one of the two main branches of Chenthottathil family. When Kuriakko, one of
the two sons of Mr. Thomman Chenthottathil started living in the eastern portion of Varikattu property, Kuri-
akko and his descendants came under Kizhakke-varikattu branch. The other main branch was Padinjare
(western) varikattu Kurian and his descendents.

Kizhakke-varikattu Kuriakko had two sons: Kunjamman and Chandy. Kunjamman moved to Madathil prop-

Madathil Kunjamman's third son Ouseph lived in Thengumthottathil property in Cherpunkal. His descendents
are now in Cherpunkal and Malabar area.

The fourth son Chandy was infected with plague during his business trip to Tamil Nadu. He returned home
         and died before his marriage.

The fifth son (first from the second wife) Kuriakko settled at Kannambadam proprty in Kongandoor. He
earned more property. He had five sons and two daughters. His youngest son became a priest in Vijayawada
Diocese and was known as Varikattu Poppachan.

Madathil Kunjamman's sixth son Thommy lived in an additional house constructed in Madathil property. The
seventh son Esthappan (Stephen) lived in the house of his parents in Madathil, and the eighth son Mathai mar-
ried from Neendoor and lived at his wife-house.

Madathil's Kujamman's one daughter was married to Mr. Kuriako Vattapparambel in Paingalam. Another
daughter was married to Nedumakkil family in Kidangoor.

Madathil Thommy had two sons and seven daughters. His eldest son first lived in Kulappurath property and
then moved to Attappady. His two daughters became sisters. One of them is Sr. Baselius in the Visitation
Congregation. Madathil Thommy's second son was Appachan who had two sons and two daughters. He died
         at the age of 50.
