SACRAMENTS
What is the word sacrament mean?
It means – sign. Sign represents something other than itself. A sign is something we can see
or hear which tells us something else, which we cannot see or hear at that moment.
A catholic sacrament is a visible sign instituted by Christ to give grace. The source of grace
is the passion of Christ (past). The life of Christ in us is the grace (present). The result of grace
is our share in the glory of the risen child (after our life in this world).
The seven sacraments are:
1. Baptism
2. Confirmation
3. Eucharist
4. Reconciliation
5. Holy Orders
6. Matrimony
7. Anointing of the Sick
