                           KULAPPURATH / AIKANAMADATHIL FAMILY

The present Aikkanamadathil branch of Mutholath family is the descendents of Kunjukurian, the elder son
of Kuriakko Mutholath. Their original family name was Kulappurath because Mr. Kunjukurian first settled in
         Kulappurath property.

Kunjukurian was born as the elder son of Kuriakko Mutholath. He was healthy and efficient. He had two sons
and four daughters. His eldest daughter was married in Neerikkad, The second daughter was married in Pazha-
yampallil family in Padinjattinkara. The third daughter was married in Ettumanoor. The fourth daughter was
married in Chelamalayil family at Kidangoor.

After the wedding of his daughters, Kunjukurian became economically weak. He died before becoming too
         old. His wife died later.

Kunjukurian's sons were known as Kuriakko and Ummachan. Kuriakko, the elder son was more prominant.
Kuriakko and Ummachan lived in two houses built in the northern and southern part of Kulappurath property
that their father had inherited. So their family name was Kulappurath.

Later both of them sold their house and land and purchased Aikkanamadathil property that is north of Kulap-
purath property. They lived in separate houses there. When they sold the Kulappurath property, Mutholath
Kuriakko bought the southern part of Kulappurath property and Madathil Thommy bought the northern part.

         KURIAKKO AIKKANAMADATHIL

Aikkanamadathil Kuriakko, elder son of Kulappurath Kurian, had two sons and three daughters. Daughters
were married in Paingalam, Neerikkad, and Uzhavoor. The elder son Kunjukuttan died when he was a youth
because he fell down by accident from a Jackfruit tree. The second son Oonankochu was married but had no
children. He died at an younger age because of his sickness.

Kuriakko lived till the age of 65. Since his sons died and because he had debts, he sold his portion of Aikkana-
madathil property to Mutholath Kuriakko. He cleared his debts and with the rest of his money he lived with
his daughter in Paingalam. When that family moved to Malabar, he moved there along with them and died in
         Malabar.

         UMMACHAN AIKKANAMADATHIL

Aikkanamadathil Ummachan, the younger son of Kulappurath Kurian, had one son and four daughters. His
eldest daughter was married in Puliannoor. Two daughters were married in Kidangoor and one daughter in
         Uzhavoor.

Because of the weddings of his daughters, he had debts. So he sold a portion of his property and lived in a
small portion of his inherited land. He and his wife died at an old age.

Ummachan's son Kurian had one daughter and four sons. The daughter was married in Karimkunnam. The
elderst son Jose was a taxi driver. He was a man of good character. He died because of snake bite on his return
from work at night. He was 25 and unmarried when he died. Kurian died at the age of 65. Later, his wife also
         died.

Chacko, the second son of Kurain became sick and did not marry. He lives with his youngest brother Thomas
who is married. The third son of Kurian is Pathrose (Peter). He is married and lives in a separate house.
