KCS DETROIT–WINDSOR KIDS CLUB REFERENCE BOOK (2015-16)
“Lord Jesus, we offer all the children of our community to You.
Bless them, protect them, lead them, guide them, defend them, sustain them
so that they may always walk with You and be faithful to Your commandments.”
Greetings!
congratulate and thank our Kids Club coordinators, Jain Kannachanparambil, and Mithun
IThannikuzhippil, and all the Kids Club volunteers for their dedicated and devoted service
to our children. I also appreciate the coordinators for publishing this 2 Edition of the KCS
nd
Detroit Windsor Kids Club Reference Book.
This book is a reference guide for our children. Our Knanaya Catholic Society’s goal is to
cherish and nourish the cultural needs, adhere to the Knanaya traditions and ethnic heritage of
our members, as well as maintain a stewardship of the Catholic faith. We are committed to
promote and teach our values and customs to our children and future posterity. Kids Club is
one of the most viable platforms where our ideals can be accomplished and realized.
I would like to thank our current and past Spiritual Directors and KCS Executive Committee
Members for supporting all the children/youth initiatives. I also thankfully remember all who
helped with the first edition of this book in 2008.
Dear Children, please take advantage of this book. Use this book as a reference guide in your
life. I hope that one day you use this book to teach your own children how to grow in faith and
tradition. Be proud of our heritage and history.
Dear Parents, I suggest that you review the Knanaya History and Tradition materials in this
book and discuss the topics with your children on a regular basis in order to engage and
motivate them in the learning process lead by the Kids Club Coordinators.
Faith and prayer materials promote the importance of receiving sacraments and attending
catechism from the Church and family prayer at home.
With best wishes,
